This variety of pea is reliable, vigorous and double crops even in Calgary's fickle climate (zone 3). The peas are sweet and tender. We don't manage to cook many because they are so delicious straight from the pod (I have a small vegetable garden).

I have planted these for many years now. Nice and short plants produce an abundant yield of sweet peas. They are way easier to shell by hand than many varieties I have grown. They also hold better on the vine and are larger peas than many varieties. I just leave them until all the pods are full then harvest them all to can up for winter. They are about a week behind my Alaska peas but are well worth the wait.

I love the variety. Grows well planted in Feb, ready to harvest in April. Doesn't need support. I plant in a 4x8 square foot bed and the plants seem to support each other well.
