85 days, indeterminate — 'Kellogg's Breakfast' produces huge (up to twenty ounces), oblate shaped, beefsteak-type, orange fruit, with a wonderful flavor. This old family heirloom was preserved by gardener Darrell Kellogg of Redford, Michigan.
In her book entitled, "100 Heirloom Tomatoes for the American Gardener," Dr. Carolyn Male had this to say, "There isn't another large orange beefsteak variety that I'd rather grow that Kellogg's Breakfast. The whopping taste of this mighty tomato is truly unequaled, and it's juicy and meaty at the same time."[1]
Our original seed stock was sent to us by David Pendergrass in Tennessee. Each packet contains approximately 20 seeds.

There are a few tomato varieties I grow every season and Kellogg's is now on that list. Everything you would want from an Heirloom. Great flavor, production with the perfect ration of juice to solids.

The description sounded delicious, so I tried it. 100% germination for two years now. Solid, meaty and delicious for sandwiches or in a fresh pasta sauce. I will always grow this even though I shouldn't eat tomatoes.

And this is saying a great deal, considering my tomato garden did very well this season. This tomato produced very well and kept producing all the way into early October. This heirloom will become a part of my garden again next spring. I cannot wait.
