Goldy Double is a fully double sunflower with bright golden blooms and green-to-yellow centers. Flowers measure 5-7" across and grow on sturdy, branching plants that reach 60-72" tall, with stems 18-24" long.
One of the traits of this variety is that flowers open semi-double, then mature to fully double. This allows you to cut them at different stages, giving more flexibility.
Goldy Double looks a lot like Teddy Bear Sunflower, but it has longer stems and more branching. It also matures earlier than Sungold. Minimal pollen makes it a clean option for cut flower arrangements.

Planting Instructions: Sunflowers are very easy to grow and because of their size, quite spectacular for a child's garden.
Sow directly outdoors, ¾ inches deep. Thin the plants at first to 8 inches and then to two feet to avoid crowding. (We have had good luck transplanting)
Water regularly and weed between the plants to eliminate competition.
Harvest the seeds by cutting the flowering heads when the backs have turned yellow. Complete the drying by hanging them upside down in a warm, dry place.
