Dwarf Sonrojo Monster Tomato

Solanum lycopersicum

Price: $3.95

SKU: 3405381

80 days, dwarf โ€” The rugose, potato leaf plants of 'Dwarf Sonrojo Monster' produce high yields of medium to very large (eight to eighteen ounces) smooth, heart shaped crimson pink tomatoes. The meaty tomatoes possess a well-balanced, delicious flavor. The plants average thirty-six inches in height, and due to their high yields and weight of the tomatoes, they require sturdy support.

The Dwarf Tomato Project's "Ivalde" family originated from a cross made by Soren Linnemann between the indeterminate variety 'Vjerino Paradajiz Sjeme' andย  'Wherokowhai'. Many volunteers worked on the Ivalde line, but Linda Black selected and Leigh Melendez named 'Dwarf Sonrojo Monster', with help from Craig LeHoullier, Bill Minkey, Mike Dunton and John Dunton. It was introduced by the Victory Seed Company in 2022. Each packet contains at least 20 seeds.

I grew these last year along with other members in a garden group. Everyone came to the same conclusionโ€ฆgiant, sweet, and meaty fruits! These will replace the paste and slicers in my garden.

This is one of the very largest fruited of all of the DTP varieties, producing impressive pink fruit of one pound or more, with lovely texture and full, delicious flavor. This will amaze your gardening friends!

One of my very favorites from the Dwarf Tomato Project! Just an excellent pink, meaty wonder comes from nicely 3.5 foot compact plants. The size of the fruit and their quantity made this dwarf the best producer out of fifteen last year for me in uber hot summer weather. Grow this! It's one I grow and bring to my parents because i know it will perform!
