60 days — 'Delikatesse' cucumbers are a pale-green color with small warts and reach about ten inches in length. They deliver an interesting, almost citrus flavor.
A dual-purpose variety originating in Germany, they are used for pickles when the fruit are small and then as a slicing when they are allowed to reach a larger size. Each packet contains one gram, which is approximately 25 seeds.
Sowing: To seed in rows, plant seeds 1 inch deep and about 6 inches apart. To plant in hills, plant four or five seeds in 1-foot-diameter circles set 5 to 6 feet apart.
