Cosmos, Candystripe
Cosmos bipinnatus
Cosmos typically grows thirty six to sixty inches tall but can reach up to six feet. Plant in an appropriate location such as the back of a flower bed. You may need to stake and tie to keep upright.
They bloom from summer into the fall, and prefer partially sunny and dry locations. The flowers are white, pink and crimson and attract butterflies. Since birds like the seeds, leave plants in beds over winter to provide a food source. Each packet contains 1 gram, which is approximately 150 seeds.
