Coco Coir Brick

This coco coir block is made from 100 percent coconut coir pith and compressed into a 1.4 lb (650g) block. Once hydrated, it expands into a loose growing medium with a medium texture. The material comes from coconut husks sourced in India and contains no additives or fillers.

Coco coir can be used for seed starting, potting mixes, soil improvement, hydroponic systems, and other general gardening uses. It holds moisture well while still allowing airflow around roots. This block is unbuffered, with salt levels and EC not specified, so rinsing or buffering can be done by the user if needed for specific applications.

Directions:

Lay block down flat somewhere with good drainage. Slowly pour warm water over the block, allowing water to absort without runoff. Break apart with hands until light and spongy. The warmer the water, the faster and easier the expansion is. Do not use hot water over 100 degrees. Expands to at least 8 quarts.
