20 days to maturity for baby leaves. 35 days to full maturity. This is an improved cultivar of arugula, selected for the shape of the leaves. They are much less lobed and green, containing a nutty flavor that is a wonderful accent to salads and sandwiches. It's recommended to harvest Astro at its baby stage. The flavor intensifies in warm weather, and the variety prefers cool temperatures.
Each packet contains 1 gram, which is approximately 300 seeds.

It prefers cool weather so start sowing successive plantings directly in the garden as soon as the soil can be worked in the spring. Also try an early to mid-fall planting in a cold frame or greenhouse for harvest throughout the winter.
