Ashwagandha
Ashwagandha
Withania somnifera
Ashwagandha, also known as winter cherry, is a short-growing (up to 30 inches) evergreen shrub in the nightshade family frequently grown in India and the Middle East. It has a long history in traditional Indian medicine. The Latin species name somnifera means "sleep-inducing". The common name "Ashwagandha" is a combination of the Sanskrit words 'ashva', meaning horse, and 'gandha', meaning smell, indicating that the root has a horse-like odor. Hardy to USDA Zone 8 and grown as an annual elsewhere.
Each packet contains 0.1g which is about 50 seeds.
