55 days — Also known as 'Red Meat' and 'Continental Fancy', 'Watermelon' radish is an interesting variety in that it has white skin with tender, sweet, dark pink interiors. Grows fairly large in size (between a golf ball and a baseball). Does well as a late fall harvest variety. Each packet contains three grams, which is approximately 200 seeds.
Planting Instructions: Radishes are generally very easy to grow. They are best when sown in spring or late summer but with care can be planted from February to September. Plant small amounts, 5 to 7 days apart for a steady supply.

Plant seeds directly outdoors as soon as soil can be worked. Plant ½ inch deep, ½ inch apart in rows at least 8 inches apart. Firm soil and keep moist until seedlings appear. Radishes have shallow root systems so do keep them watered.

Harvest as soon as roots reach desired size.

★★★★☆ Tasty and pretty for the table
By Chelsea Clarey on March 15, 2017

Ours did not grow as large as expected (I believe this to be a soil issue), but germinated reasonably well. They yield a larger amount of greens per root than 'Hailstone', though with a tougher texture. And the root flavor! It's hot but slow-developing and enjoyable. Also one of the most beautiful vegetables I've grown; slivered over a salad, they're certain to draw comment.

★★★★★ Tasty and fast-growing

These radishes grew really fast and tasted great. The seeds produced large, even globes, and delicious greens. I DO highly recommend succession planting, as I planted mine all at once and couldn't harvest some before they got woody.

Most radishes are a little too spicy for my tastes. I typically only like them cooked. This one was very mild and actually sweet. I enjoyed it cooked or in salads. Even my step-dad loved it, and he's usually not big on radishes. It does tend to go woody if left in too long, do be sure to harvest within a couple weeks of the time it matures.
