Not one single radish that I planted with this seed had a red interior like a normal watermelon radish. Red and white skins but all white interior. Very disappointing!

Ours did not grow as large as expected (I believe this to be a soil issue), but germinated reasonably well. They yield a larger amount of greens per root than 'Hailstone', though with a tougher texture. And the root flavor! It's hot but slow-developing and enjoyable. Also one of the most beautiful vegetables I've grown; slivered over a salad, they're certain to draw comment.

These radishes grew really fast and tasted great. The seeds produced large, even globes, and delicious greens. I DO highly recommend succession planting, as I planted mine all at once and couldn't harvest some before they got woody.

Most radishes are a little too spicy for my tastes. I typically only like them cooked. This one was very mild and actually sweet. I enjoyed it cooked or in salads. Even my step-dad loved it, and he's usually not big on radishes. It does tend to go woody if left in too long, do be sure to harvest within a couple weeks of the time it matures.<br>
