70 days to maturity. Suhyo Long (sometimes spelled Suyo Long) is an Asian cucumber prized for its crisp flesh and flavor. Its fruit can grow between 10 to 12 inches long and are glossy dark green with very few white spines which are easily removed before eating. The plant can be staked to save space and keep the cucumbers straight. Grown on the ground, the fruit tend to curl.  Height: 18-24 inches.

Each packet contains 1 gram, which is approximately 30 seeds.

Planting Instructions: Cucumbers grow best with long, hot, humid days with maximum sunshine and warm nights. Plants are extremely susceptible to frost. Sow seeds outside only after danger of frost when soil has warmed. Make a second sowing 4 to 5 weeks later for a late summer or early fall harvest. For an earlier harvest and to reduce the threat of insect damage to seedlings, start a few plants indoors in individual pots (or trays with separate compartments) about a month before your last spring frost date.

Sowing: To seed in rows, plant seeds 1 inch deep and about 6 inches apart. To plant in hills, plant four or five seeds in 1-foot-diameter circles set 5 to 6 feet apart.

★★★★★ Irreplaceable for Summer Heat!
By Shannon T (Northern California zone 9b) on December 12, 2023

I stumbled upon this variety a few years ago and it ACTUALLY ALLOWS ME TO GROW CUCUMBERS! This highly productive cucumber is sweet, crisp and and delicious. AND! It is NEVER, EVER BITTER in the over 100 degree heat we routinely get here. Last summer I thought I'd try another famous cucumber, just in case it worked out well. I had to spit out the one taste I took of THAT cucumber and rogued out the entire plant. I will always grow this cucumber! I am literally GRATEFUL!
