Sugar Baby
84 days — 'Sugar Baby' watermelon is one of the best, as well as most popular, small or icebox melon available. Its fruit are very sweet, has small seeds, and it is early maturing. The thin rinds are still fairly tough, helping it to keep well, and to be a decent choice as a market melon.
The 'Sugar Baby' watermelon in the picture above was the result of a perfectly hot summer and a lot of hand watering. The reward was this fourteen pound fruit with perfect, extremely sweet flesh. Each packet contains 2 grams which is approximately 40 to 45 seeds.
Planting Instructions:
The seeds can be directly sown in spring after the soil has warmed or started indoors four weeks before the last expected frost. Indoors, plant two to three seeds per pot, ½ inch deep, thinning to the best plant. Do not disturb roots when transplanting.
Outdoors, plant three to four seeds, ½ inch deep, in hills spaced four to six feet apart. Transplant or thin to two plants per hill. Young plants are cold sensitive and some cover protection at nights may be required. Mulch or cultivate to control weeds.

These were great! The wild life stole almost all of them and we thought we missed out and then the plants produced more. They were delicious.
