★★★★★ A Step Above Jalapenos
By Mike S (Northern Virginia) on September 1, 2024

This was our first year trying Serrano Peppers and we were very happy we did. We have grown Jalapenos for years and like them but often want something a bit hotter. The Serranos are a nice step above Jalapenos. Extra heat without being overpowering. The plants produce lots of peppers, which ripen from green to red fairly quickly. Serranos will be a permanent addition to our garden from now on.

★★★★★ Yum! The flavor plays well with others.

'Serrano' peppers are a very versatile hot pepper, prolific, beautiful, and tasty. You can easily adjust to the heat level you wish by using more or less. The flavor plays well with others, too, lending a sweetness with heat that is warming but not blistering. Excellent dried and ground into powder for pepper sprinkle, too!
