Royal Red Cherry Tomato

70 days, indeterminate — Not only a beautiful fruit, the taste is equal to that of a really good, full sized red tomato. The plants have heavy foliage with abundant yields. The fruit are nearly perfectly globe shaped, brilliant red, and weigh in the two to three ounce range. It additionally exhibits resistance to Fusarium (race 1), Verticillium wilt, Tobacco Mosaic Virus and Alternaria Stem Canker.

Although it is not the Livingston's 'Royal Red' that we were seeking when we requested samples from the University of California, Davis, it was a pleasant find. It was first made available for trailing in 1978 and released shortly thereafter. Each packet contains approximately 20 seeds, and there are about 100 seeds per 0.25 gram.
