Beautiful, delicious, useful, and oh so cute!!! This 2016 All-America Selections winner won in both decorative and culinary categories. The name Pepitas refers to the naked or hulless seeds (pepitas) that lack tough outer hulls, which makes them easy to prepare for eating. Oven-roasted with salt these seeds are a family tradition for the autumn evenings.
High yielding plants produce numerous uniform 9-12 pound fruit on disease-resistant vines. Beautiful orange fruit with decorate green stripes make such a statement when used decoratively around the home. A "must grow" for 2023.
Each packet contains 10 seeds.
Keep watered during the dry weather and cultivate or mulch to reduce weeds. Harvest fruit when skin cannot be easily dented with your fingernail. Cut from vine leaving a two inch stem.
