In the trial, Blue Prince scored high in the areas of early maturity, yield, fruit size, fruit uniformity, color, taste, and texture. 7-9 pound beautiful blue flattened pumpkins with non-stringy, deep orange flesh and savory sweetness. Enjoy them for fall decorating and then afterwards bake them for smooth creamy treats. Boasts good disease resistance.
Each packet contains 10 seeds.
Keep watered during the dry weather and cultivate or mulch to reduce weeds. Harvest fruit when skin has turned completely blue and it cannot be easily dented with your fingernail. Cut from vine leaving a two inch stem.

The blue prince grew vigorously and produced well in our heavily mulched vegetable patch. We put in very little effort other than setting up the watering system and weeding or mulching occasionally. The flesh is dense and tasty, and carmelizes well when roasted in the oven. We got about four 10-15 lb pumpkins off of one vine. Definitely one variety I intend to grow again next year
