Plum Lemon

80 days, indeterminate — We originally began growing out this variety because of its interesting fruit shape. It truly looks like a lemon in both shape and color.

The regular leaf plants produce fruit that weigh one to three ounces, are typically two-celled, and fairly hollow. They have a very mild flavor. Quite a novelty.

This variety was collected in 1991 by Kent Whealy, co-founder of the Seed Savers Exchange, from a elderly seedsman[1,2] at the Bird Market in Moscow. Each packet contains approximately 20 seeds.
Fruit Color: Orange
Fruit Color: Yellow
Special Groups: "Epic" Tomatoes
Harvest Timing: Main Crop / Mid-Season

★★★★★ Amazing Yield of Tomatoes
By David Geier (San Diego, CA) on June 17, 2024

This tomato is unbelievable on how much it produces. The plant flowers in very large clusters. Once the fruit is set, it is very heavy so support is necessary. I have never seen a plant with this much fruit in one cluster. Amazing.

★★★★★ Unique flavor

I discovered those years ago in France and have been bringing back seeds from there for that variety for the past 4 years because I could not find them locally. These tomatoes are awesome and do have a very faint lemony flavor. Great in salads or just plain. I am so glad to find them on this website.
