65 days — The fruit of 'Marketer' are uniform in shape and color, dark green, smooth and slender measuring about two inches in diameter and eight to nine inches in length. It became widely used and holds up very well in the late spring heat of the South.

Bred as a stabilized cross between 'Straight 8' and 'Vaughan' by Associated Seed Growers (ASGRO), New Haven, Connecticut, they introduced it in 1942. 'Marketer' was an "All-America Selecion®" winner in 1943. Each packet contains one gram, which is approximately 25 to 30 seeds.
Planting Instructions: Cucumbers grow best with long, hot, humid days with maximum sunshine and warm nights. Plants are extremely susceptible to frost. Sow seeds outside only after danger of frost when soil has warmed. Make a second sowing 4 to 5 weeks later for a late summer or early fall harvest. For an earlier harvest and to reduce the threat of insect damage to seedlings, start a few plants indoors in individual pots (or trays with separate compartments) about a month before your last spring frost date.

Sowing: To seed in rows, plant seeds 1 inch deep and about 6 inches apart. To plant in hills, plant four or five seeds in 1-foot-diameter circles set 5 to 6 feet apart.

★★★★★ The best cucumbers I have ever tasted.

My daughter ordered the seeds and they are the best cucumbers I have ever tasted. They have done well in our northern climate.

★★★★★ Glad we picked these!

This variety was randomly picked out of the big selection. We were very happy with the plants. I crowded them when I transplanted into the garden but they grew and grew all over the trellis. The cucs were delicious when picked a little immature before the seeds inside got large. My toddler couldn't get enough. Disease and pest free too!
