A nice, hot variety that can reach 30,000 to 50,000 Scoville Units. 'Cayenne' peppers are named after the South American river in Guyana by the same name. Each packet contains 0.25 grams, which is approximately 30 seeds.

★★★★★ Great Tasting Pepper
By David Geier (San Diego, CA) on August 16, 2024

This is a great pepper, fast growing and can withstand the warm climate. Very little maintenance. Due to the light weight of the peppers, it really does not need to be staked up like heavier peppers sometimes need to.

★★★★★ Productive, great taste, and heat!
By Steven King on April 19, 2016

A great, very nice plant with large amounts of peppers! I was surprised at the harvest amounts, great taste, and heat! Seeds sprouted @ 100% and mine are a few years old! Kept in the fridge. Its fruiting lasted for some time, strong healthy plants, the dried peppers are superb, very happy with this strain.

★★★★★ Easy to grow, prolific, and yes, hot!
By Craig LeHoullier on June 29, 2011

This is a gorgeous, prolific pepper that will be happy in the garden (and even happier in pots of all sorts of sizes) - once it goes red, it dried very well also. When spun in a blade blender after well dried, you can make wonderful red pepper flakes! And yes, they are really hot!
