95 days — 'Jack Be Little', also known as 'Jack B Little', 'Jack-B-Little', and 'Little Sweetie', produces fruit that are small enough to fit in your hand, weigh three to four ounces, and are generally two inches high and three inches in diameter. Each vine typically produces six to eight fruit each. It is a true open-pollinated, miniature pumpkin (thanks to the work of Larry Hollar!), and not a gourd like other miniature "pumpkins" on the ornamental market.

The vigorous vines are easy to grow, prolific, and if carefully cured, the fruit can last up to twelve months. Although they are primarily marketed for fall decorations and popular at farm and produce stands, they probably are closely related to acorn squashes and good for soups, stuffed, or simply baked and eaten with a little butter, brown sugar or maple syrup.

Introduced by Hollar Seed company of Rocky Ford, Colorado in 1987. Each packet contains four grams, which is approximately 30 seeds.
Planting Instructions: After all danger of frost is passed and the weather has warmed, plant four to five seeds, 1 inch deep, in hills spaced 6 feet apart. When seedlings are 2 inches tall, thin to 2 plants per hill. Pumpkins prefer rich soil. Feed at planting time and again at the 4 to 5 leaf development stage.

Keep watered during the dry weather and cultivate or mulch to reduce weeds. Harvest fruit when skin has turned completely orange and it cannot be easily dented with your fingernail. Cut from vine leaving a two inch stem.

These plants have grown quickly with not much care. There are many perfect little pumpkins hanging all over the trellis I have the plant growing on. A perfect pick for a small garden if you just want some fall deco!
