The original strains were single-flowered, new varieties are mostly double. The flowers are yellow to orange with leaves that are finely divided and strongly scented.
Early, giant, carnation-flowered mix of orange, gold and yellow. A native of Mexico and Central America that has naturalized in many warmer regions. Prefers full sun and soil that is dry to moderate in moisture. Very popular as cut flowers and garden plants. Each packet contains 0.25 gram, which is approximately 70 to 80 seeds.

I planted these seeds and a few weeks after receiving them. I now have a whole row of these marigolds as it seems that every single one of them germinated. Very happy. Sad to have to thin them out LOL

Very large plant with LOTS of flowers. Blooms in the summer. It does have a pungent smell and is very pretty.
