'California Giant Red' zinnia blossoms are large, up to four inches across, and are a deep, bright red color. The stalks can reach up to thirty-six inches tall, which makes them well-suited for growing towards the backs of flower beds, although they thrive equally well in containers. When they are kept dead-headed, they will bloom continually until the first fall frost. Beautiful as a cut flower, zinnias are attractive to pollinating insects, especially butterflies. Each packet contains 1 gram, which is approximately 100 seeds.

After all danger of frost has passed and the soil has warmed, sow seeds 1/8" to 1/4" deep in an location that has rich, moist soil and receives full-sun.
