This project is important for the preservation of both heritage or heirloom seed varieties as well as the horticultural histories behind them.  We feel that a tax-exempt, non-profit entity will be more successful with receiving donations as well as receiving grant monies.

Our mission is to protect genetic biodiversity (threatened seed varieties), to preserve horticultural history, and to educate the public about these efforts.  Complimentary teachings such as seed saving principles, gardening techniques, as well as conveying the principles of living a fuller, simpler life while treading more lightly on this planet we are visiting, are promoted.

A physical library of rare books, old seed catalogs, and other horticulturally significant items is being established.  Our goal is to open the collection to researchers when feasibly possible.
