ATTENTION

Shipping for gum & candy is based on the total weight of your order.

The most economical route for most orders is the US Mail Priority Flat Rate with delivery confirmation. This will run $5.45 for small orders and $10.45 for larger orders.

For larger orders where shipping will be a lot higher, we will calculate the best rate and email you for your approval before we charge your card.

Note: Our shopping cart system is not smart enough to figure this out. So disregard the shipping estimate that it calculates.

Stark Candy Wafers

1949 Product Listing for Stark's Candy WafersThis nostalgic candy wafer has been made for decades.  The picture on the left illustrates how the product looked in 1949.

It has changed very little over the years but one noticeable difference is that the thickness of each wafer has increased.

Although the company is owned by NECCO, Stark Candy Wafers do not taste like NECCO wafers.  They taste like the classic Sweetheart Conversation Hearts.

So, if you can't wait until Valentine's Day to enjoy that classic treat, pick up a couple of rolls of Stark Candy Wafers.

Stark SnirkleThe Stark Candy Company has its roots in a caramel and vanilla-swirled nougat that Howard B. Stark released in 1920 and called a "Snirkle."

Mr. Stark founded the Howard B. Stark Company in 1939 after buying the equipment of the American Candy Company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  He continued to produce Snirkles while adding other products to his confectionery line.  In 1965, he released a caramel and nougat swirled pop called a Slap Stix.

In 1975, The York Caramel Co. was purchased and renamed York Candy Kitchens.

In 1985, Stark purchased the manufacturer of the Mary Jane product family from the Charles N. Miller Company of Watertown, Massachusetts.  Three years later, in 1988, William F. Stark (grandson of Howard B.) sold the company and the name was changed to Stark Candy Company.

The New England Confectionery Company (NECCO) purchased the Stark Candy Company in 1990.
